Meta Keywords

Meta keywords are tags that are added to the HTML code of a webpage and are used to indicate the main keywords or topics for the page. Meta keywords were once used by some search engines as a way to understand the content of a webpage and to improve its ranking in search results.

However, the use of meta keywords has largely been discontinued by major search engines, as they were often misused by webmasters in an attempt to manipulate the ranking of their pages. Some search engines, such as Google, do not use meta keywords at all and do not take them into account when ranking pages.

Despite the limited value of meta keywords, they may still be used by some smaller search engines or in other contexts, such as in the generation of site maps or in the categorization of websites.

Overall, meta keywords are tags that are added to the HTML code of a webpage and are used to indicate the main keywords or topics for the page. While they were once used by some search engines to understand the content of a webpage and to improve its ranking in search results, the use of meta keywords has largely been discontinued by major search engines.
